I always dust my desktop every month especially behind the CPU and everything because it just builds up. 6 months is proper for both though. I believe you can pick up a can of compressed air for around $8-$10 in Target. Just take the cheapest one because really, compressed air is compressed air and in my opinion they all work the same.
