Social Networking as Part of Online Marketing

by Techie

You must have seen marketing in social networking sites. Well, what did you think of it? How many times have you clicked links to articles from social networking sites? While you’re thinking about that, think of everyone else who would click that link to that article. Can you see where I’m going with this? Social networking has become an amazing tool for product promotion, and best of all, it’s free.

Use it for your site – If you do realize how powerful social networking can be when it’s used correctly, you should start applying it for your own site. Make a Twitter profile, a Facebook page, etc. and start gaining followers (or fans; they’re called different things on every site). The good news is that the hard part is only at the beginning. When you gain a considerable amount of people following your posts, people will join you automatically. This is when you can say you’ve become successful:  When you’re getting more and more people who will be updated about your latest posts without you having to work. And that’s what the power of social networking is all about; people will be able to find content which interests them and you don’t have to pay to get people to find this content.

I have found the same thing. That is why I only use twitter for thinks where clicks actually count like for videos. I have been very successful in getting a top rated video doing that method. But as far as good traffic for a site…. they are pretty much a wast of time.
